Job Summary:

The Estimator is responsible for estimating metal buildings and metal roofing systems.

Primary Duties:

• Estimate buildings and components using MBS, I-roofing, Autocad and Topview to assist salesmen.
• Work closely with all salesman to properly understand the customer’s need for estimating.
• Assist salesmen with any additional requests to ensure quality in sales.
• Draft as requested using Autocad and Sketchup.
• Look professional. Wear a Reed’s Metals shirt tucked in and a belt.

Perform all kinds of welding and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment.

Primary Duties:

• Receive job duties from team lead.
• Follow work procedures and tool and material requirements.
• Select and set up welding equipment.
• Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded.
• Fabricate metal building and metal roofing components.
• Use a rod or wire and heat to join metals.
• Use a plasma torch, grinding wheel, band saw or other instrument for cutting metal.
• Ensure welds meet standards and specifications.

Job Summary:

Perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans communicated by Team Lead.

• Ensure that all loads are delivered safely, accurately, and timely to correct address without damage to customer/company property.

• Seek opportunities to expand and grow Reed’s Metals customer base and business.
• Respond quickly and professionally to all customer inquiries regardless of source (i.e. phone, fax, email, web lead, walk-in, etc.)
• Serve as a consultant, advising the customer on the best solution to their needs, making sure they consider alternatives when appropriate and educating as to best products and practices.
• Maintain records of all customer engagements including notes and quotes for later reference.
• Utilize the software tools provided by Reed’s Metals in order to respond consistently and professionally to customer needs. (MetalEZ, MBS, PostFrame Manager, Galv-Econ Worksheet)
• Complete contracts with customers as applicable.
• Work closely with Operations and Manufacturing to ensure all customer requirements are known and customer needs are met.

• Monitor competitive pricing and products, and keep management informed.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
• Be responsible for scheduled in-store or on-site/trade show hours.
• Maintain a professional appearance, wearing Reed’s Metals logo apparel.
• Maintain product knowledge through training and hands-on opportunities and by studying vendor literature.
